The committee of St David’s Cricket Club would like to announce that Mike Enticott has been appointed as Captain/Coach for season 2009/10.

 Mike not only brings a high level of playing ability and experience, but previous coaching success as well.  Below is a brief synopsis of Mike’s senior cricketing career:

 VCA (Premier Cricket):
·          Played at North Melbourne Cricket Club from 1994/95- 1997/98
·          Played at Ringwood Cricket Club from 1998/99- 2001/02
·          37 1st XI games, the remainder in the 2nd XI
·          Holds the 8th wicket record partnership with Darren Dempsey
VTCA:
·          Played at Cheltenham Cricket Club from 2002/03 - 2005/06
·          Captain/Coach 2004/05
BHRDCA:
·          Played at St David’s Cricket Club from 2007/08 - current
·          Winner 1st XI Batting Averages 2007/08 & 2008/09

 Mike will assume the captaincy role in the 1st XI as the Club moves towards a new chapter in its history.  We look forward to seeing Mike help and develop our promising crop of junior cricketers as well as extracting the best out of our senior list.

  The committee would also like to take the opportunity to thank Paul Newman for his exhaustive efforts as Captain/Coach over the past few seasons.  Sammy has decided to step down from this role and concentrate on the development of our junior cricketers (I’m sure he will enjoy the break).

 Please join us in congratulating Mike on his appointment, it is very exciting to secure not only a cricketer of Mike’s calibre, but one with his coaching credentials also.  The Club is looking forward to some strong performances in the future and we believe that Mike is the right person to propel us towards success.
